A:  If you the reset button is activating all the time, it is an indication the element inside has been damaged. This part should be changed or depending on the age of the heater, should be replaced. Q:On second thought can I wire the DHC-E 12 into my exiting 2x40amp 240 volt electrical stove outlet. I don't use it, it would be only for the water heater.

    Answer This Question

A:  The DHC-E 12 uses a double pole 50 amp breaker. It may be as simple as changing the breaker in your main electrical panel if you already have 8/2 wire for the 40 amp breaker installed. It should tell you the wire size on the jacket of the wire to confirm this.

Q:I just picked this up from Home Depot. I read the manual, removed the front cover, and found the connector for the temperature control is not connected. There appear to be three different slots in which the connector can be inserted. They're labeled, "12C" (the "2" being a superscript); "A1"; and "A2." Which slot is the correct one?

      Answer This Question

A:  It does give you choices so that is why it is not connected. If you put it into A1, you can set it to any temperature you want up to 140 degree. Thank you.

A:  Yes, these units could be used in series. The warmer the water going into them, the more hot water you can get out of them. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call our Technical Support Department at 1-800-582-8423 Ext 6 Thank you.

Q:So what is the major difference between the Tempra 12 and the DHC-E 12 12.0 kW 2.34 GPM??????
              by|Jul 13, 2017
              1 Answer
              Answer This Question

A:  Both units produce the same amount of hot water as both are 12KW. The major difference is the size of the unit. The DHC-E is smaller than the Tempra 12 making it easier to fit into smaller locations if need be.
