A:  The door is primed already, so it will last for awhile. If you decide to do this, please know that we only warranty the door if it gets painted.

    Q:I read from previous answers that the door can be painted but I would like to confirm that the frame around the glass can also be painted. A previous commenter said it was plastic and cannot be painted. Is that true?

    A:  This Frame is Designed to be Painted (PVC). INSTRUCTIONS 1. Paint within 45 days of installation using only an exterior grade, light color acrylic latex paint. An exterior grade finish coat or sealer must be applied if stained. 2. CAUTION - Painting this frame a dark color and/or installing behind a storm door can cause heat damage not covered by the warranty

          A:  From the subfloor to top of threshold is 1- 1/4". I chose not to put a piece of 1/2" plywood down before setting the dr. to keep the threshold as low as possible. I have a son in an electric wheelchair and he rolls over it very nicely like that.
