Questions and Answers for SteamFast 3-in-1 Multi-Purpose Steam Mop

A:  The attachments are designed to only go on in one direction. They will not lock on if put on upsided down. However,if the water tank is full, the body of the unit should be able to be turned so the nozzle is pointed up. As long as the brass ball on the end of the hose is under water, the unit will work.

A:  We have had this product for a few months. It comes with 2 pads that we just throw in the washing machine. Less waste and pretty easy.

A:  You can wash the pads, but when they wear out you will want to replace them

A:  Two mopping pads are included, and you can order more. They are washable. I think any thick terrycloth type of material would probably work OK. You just can't have anything folded, because the floor friction would spread it out. The underside of the mop head has surfaces with tiny vertical pegs that grip the fabric below. There are probably all kinds of aftermarket pads for this purpose.

A:  My steam mop came with two pads and they are machine washable.

A:  The steam mop comes with microfiber pads that can be thrown in the washing machine after use for cleaning. Do not dry in the dryer, allow to air dry. After several uses and washing, the pad will need to be replaced.

A:  Yes the pads are washable and you can purchase extras.

A:  Just drop them the washer they are durable. I used two pads when I clean the house, so I purchased an extra pack of pads.

A:  I steamed my carpet before I run the carpet cleaner, I have kids, and it melts the candy from the rugs. It sanitized very well.

A:  When turned up, there is a fairly sizeable cloud of steam pushing out of whatever tool is in use, and I would imagine there are sterilizing temperatures on any material that is in close contact with the nozzle output. Since the steam doesn't seem to contain any condensing water droplets, the temperature must still be pretty close to the 212° mark.

A:  i don't think I would use it on an item that it was not intended for. It could cause damage.

A:  Yes it produces steam therefore the heat would sanitize.

A:  I am very pleased with the results from my steamer. I have done an oven, wood work, tile floors, windows, walls, my garage doors, The unit has plenty of power to do just about any thing, and using the included attachments helps. In order to do a complete rug you will need to dry the rug after steaming it. This unit does not vacuum it just steam cleans. As for san·i·tize (sn-tz) tr.v. san·i·tized, san·i·tiz·ing, san·i·tiz·es To make sanitary, as by cleaning or disinfecting. I would say yes.

A:  Hello tiffany, The steamer is capable of being used on curtains. I would suggest using the same head as when steaming clothing. You can adjust the level of heat using the dial on the unit. As far as carpet goes I don't see any available attachments to assist with using the mop on carpet. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chris
