A:  The metal would be more durable. These plastic sawhorses work well but I broke one of the hooks on the first day. I’m still happy with the product but you need to careful with them.

A:  I’ve had the plastic, they’re ok for light duty use. Sadly the Stanley product has gotten narrower and less stable. Metal is better.

A:  The metal saw horse is taller, more compact, holds more weight and is more expensive. So yes the metal is better but the question is if the plastic is good enough for your needs. If you just need it for small projects at home the plastic hold 800lbs and should be good enough for most projects. If your going to somewhere else to work or working with heavier woods then you may want the metal one.

A:  I have not had any issues using these for projects. They are easy to carry and set up.
