Q:Over time (for example, years) how does this product hold up to dogs peeing and pooping on it everyday, as well as droppings from other wild animals (birds, squirrels, etc.)? Does the artificial grass start smelling bad?

Answer This Question
A: This product holds up extremely well for a dog yard. I’ve had it for 10 years and almost everyday do cleanup with a scooper. Every few weeks my gardener hoses it down very well. I bought some artificial grass cleaner to eliminate odor in case, but I have not had any reason to use it.

Q:How tall is this? We're trying to use this to make a fake putting green and I'd like the frame to be the height of the dense part of the grass, but not too high to make a trip hazard.

Q:How much synthetic grass turf do you get for $59.47

Answer This Question
A: Each order is 15 ft. wide. YOU specify how long you want the roll.
ie. If you need 20 Ft X 15 Ft then it is 20ft times $59.47. = $1189.40
This gets you a piece of St. Augustine synthetic grass 15 Ft. X 20 Ft.
I think because of production equipment the set production width is 15 Ft.
I bought a trial piece of 3Ft. X 15Ft for $178.41 plus tax etc.
I have installed it in areas around my patio and front yard last year. If I had the money I would get more. My grass, with a little seeding help, has filled in up to the edge of the syn turf. It is so natural looking even my 'Hard to Sell' wife commented this spring how nice it looks and how it is filling in. That is' MY' confirmation test.

Q:I'm interested in using this to cover a children's play area that is subject to sprouting poison ivy. Will this turf prevent seeds from sprouting?

Answer This Question
A: I have had mine for over a year and I have seen no sprouting emerging from under the syn turf. But since you have poison ivy present I would cover the area with ROUND UP grass and weed killer, give it a week and a half to work, pat the soil real firm, maybe add small stone to give it a solid foundation then lay the syn turf as the manufacturer recommends to be sure. (The ROUND UP PLANT Killer is just a safe guard but to be honest you may not need it.) This syn turf is attached to a under matting that has drain holes. I don't think the holes are common enough to allow any plant growth.

Q:How would I install something like this on a roof garden? I don't want to start poking holes in my roof to nail it down.

Answer This Question
A: Having installed mine on ground but knowing the under matting that the syn grass is attached to I would think a roofing type rubber glue would work well after cleaning the roof and attach well to the black under mat of the turf.
