Answer This Question
A: Vick,
The extra force required to turn the circuit breaker ON, as compared to the force required to turn the circuit breaker OFF, is normal. The operating handle of the QOM2 main circuit breaker requires 24 lbs of force to turn ON, 7 lbs of force to turn OFF, and 10 lbs of force to RESET.

Q:Which side of the breaker is the line or service entry?

Answer This Question
A: Hello Skippy,
The QOM2200VH does not have a line - load designation, this will depend on the load center or enclosure where it will be installed. The local code authority may require the installer to mark the enclosure to designate the line and load side lugs.

Q:Does the NEC allow this 200 amp main breaker (fits my QO142L225PGC) to be installed after an Exterior 200 amp Service Disconnect? I wish to add this breaker so that a dedicated generator back feed breaker can be interlocked with the QOCGK2C Kit.

A: Hi,
You can install a QOM2200VH 200A main breaker on the QO142L225PGC and then the generator interlock kit QOCGK2C, it is possible to have the exterior 200A service disconnect but you need to double-check with the local inspector if allows that application.
