Q:I need to install something like this in a kitchen passthrough that is 45 inches tall. Can these be cut down that much? I think I would need to cut a good bit off from both the top and the bottom to keep the handle in the middle

Answer This Question
A: The top of the Via door cannot be trimmed as the pre-drilled holes for the top glide installation are located there. You should only trim the door height from the bottom of the door panels.

Answer This Question
A: If the finished opening is adjusted down to be a 48" width, the Via 48x80 door can be used in this opening size. The 48x80 is the finished opening size the door is made to fit into. The actual height of the door is approx. 78.625" to allow for the top track, top glides and floor clearance. You can trim the door height if needed after measuring. The width of the Via door cannot be altered.

Answer This Question
A: The height can be trimmed/cut down on a Via 36x80 accordion door. The width cannot be altered. You can use the 36" wide door in a 24" wide opening. Our doors fit up to a 36" width. There will just be more fold in the door when closed for a 24" wide opening.

Answer This Question
A: This door will work in a 28x80 opening. It will have more accordion than you may like but it is NOT supposed to lay flat across the opening. You can trim the height of the door; however, due to the design on this model, you cannot alter the width.

Answer This Question
A: You can use two 36x96 Via doors to create a double door for your opening size. It will just have a little more fold when the doors are in the closed position. You cannot alter the width of the Via doors. When using Via doors as double doors, please also note that there will be about a 1/4" gap when the doors are closed due to the magnets on the lead edges of the doors (panels where the handles are).
