A: It comes with a small power supply ( a low voltage transformer) that plugs into a typical household 115V circuit. The unit continually displays the CORRECT time until an incoming call is received .... then displays the caller info (name, number, time) ... then reverts back to the clock. A very good unit simply because you can see the caller ID info from a very long distance.

I think your AT&T U-Verse CID TV is a feature you need to have activated by AT&T, they might also Charge for it, like everything else with AT&T.
Switch to DirecTV, CID is FREE and also works perfectly.
