A:  The Queen beds are meant to support up to 500lbs. It is up to you if you want to use without a mattress but we do not recommend.

A:  The bed is constructed from fiberboard wood.

The bed is too low, and with the 9" mattress that is a standard sized mattress that goes on a twin trundle bed will keep it from fitting under. A:  There are three boards on the head board section. We skipped the top one, but I think you will need the bottom two to support the bed.

A:  No, the headboard is needed for support.
