Q:Will these protect HD's "Lifeproof" anti-slip tile from getting worn spots? I had to replace about 85 6" x 24" tiles with a similar tile because HD doesn't make the original tile any more. I guess too many complaints about those tiles not holding up.

A: Yes, and on vinyl, but I am disappointed that they aren't quiet. They are non-marking, but loud.

A: I have been using them on tile floor for about 2 yrs with rolling Plush work station chairs which have made great bars stools.

A: possibly, but you would need to drill hole in chair legs so casters can be attached.
by|Jan 3, 2022

A: I would think so. I use them on my office chair on hardwood floor. The rubber wheels does not seem like real rubber. They are a bit hard and leaves marks on my hardwood floors.
I recommend not buying these. Look for the ones with soft rubbers so it would not leave marks on the wood floors.

A: The buyer at Home Depot should be made aware that these wheels do not have rubber on them. I had another reason to keep these, so I never returned them. They just look like they have rubber, but do not have rubber. Hope this helps.

A: Well, that's a good question. These actually snap into the existing female piece of metal hardware already embedded in the bottom of the office chair. So you might want to explore finding that other piece. Also there are some styles that are less generic looking (for example instead of a black hard plastic shield/cover, some have brass covers. That being said, you might be able to drill a hole into bottom of chair and secure it with some study epoxy, but then you'd never be able to change them out later. Hope that helps.

A: I'm not sure if they're good for dining room chairs. Not the best quality and they could easily roll out unless the chairs are each very heavy

A: I don't think so unless you can drill a hole through the bottom of your chair legs.

A: I don't think they would do well being outdoors all the time. They will rust and decay fairly quickly. There's probably a better choice somewhere.
