A:  Yes. There are two different custom order SKUs. I bought the standard slides. There is an up charge for the soft-close option. I have purchased both types, for different cabinet projects, and both are very nice. I’ve bought 8 so far and will probably install more in the future.

A:  I don't think easy close is available but the shelves glide very smoothly.  We are very pleased with them!

Q:what size do I need for a 12" cabinet with and 8" unobstructed clearance in the front?

                Answer This Question

A:  Not sure. Is the 12 inches or the 8 inches the clear width of the cabinet opening or the interior depth? We manufacture to fit slide-out shelves for a cabinet's clear opening of 6 inches to 36 inches wide in 1/8 inch increments and for the unobstructed interior depth from 16 1/2 inches to 23 1/2 inches in one inch increments on the half inch.

Q:I want to use this shelf to support a computer tower that requires circulation when in use; the tower weighs about 60 pounds. Is there a time limit for how long the shelf can be pulled out before it starts to bow under the shelf weight?

                      Answer This Question

A:  The base material for our slide-out shelves is made from 1/2 inch thick melamine. That shelf will not warp storing 60 lbs. worth of items. If your base cabinet is well built/secured, you install the slide-out shelf per our instructions and position your server in the middle and as far back as reasonably possible. You will not have any problems with our slide-out shelf storing your server...in or out of a cabinet.

                        Answer This Question

A:  Where possible, we strive to package two fully-assembled slide-out shelves in each box. Our "dual box" measures approximately 9 inches high and 25 inches deep. The width is the variable and will always be 3 to 7 inches wider than the width of the shelf to allow for the cabinet rail hardware and protective packaging. Our strategy is to package two shelves with the same width or nearly the same together. Hopefully with this information and measuring the width of your clear cabinet openings you can estimate the width of the boxes we will likely ship in. An order of 11 shelves will typically ship in 6 cartons. For the odd shelf packaged in a single box, just replace the 9 inch dimension with about 4 1/2 inches. Hope this helps.

Q:Does the hardware account for the frame on the bottom shelf? Our frame extends upward 5/8" from bottom of cabinet. Install video doesn't say anything about adjusting the height of the rails to accommodate the frame.

A:  If the surface of the floor of your cabinet is 5/8 inch below the top edge of the frame you will need to "build-up" the floor with some lumber materials to bring it flush to the top edge of the bottom horizontal frame. You would then install the cabinet rails of our made-to-fit slide-out shelves to the built-up surface.

A:  No.  You probably need a piece of wood at the bottom for the adjustment.

A:  The wrap around sides are made from birch plywood with a UV poly-urethane clear coating. The shelf base is 1/2 inch thick durable white melamine. The rails system is steel ball-bearing sliders. The front cosmetic trim is your choice of solid oak, maple, poplar or birch.

A:  Our slide-out shelf rail systems come with steel and adjustable L-brackets and screw hardware which are attached to the base/floor of your cabinet(s) or an existing full shelf.

A:  There are only 2 ways I can think of. 1. If you want the sliding shelves to extend the full width of the double cabinet you will have to remove the center vertical support and devise a method to stop the doors at the top and bottom. 2. have sliding shelves that only are 1 door width wide and install braces behind the vertical support, that will allow you to install the shelf guides at the mid point.
