      Answer This Question

A:  This is Slant Fin 30 series baseboard. So "30" is the model of baseboard. Slant Fin made a 15 series in the past and now makes a series called Baseline 2000. The Home Depot sells this product as individual pieces.

          Answer This Question

          A:  Yes, I cut a 36 inch for a 30" around a corner attached to a 5 footer

          by|May 5, 2023

A:  Yes baseboard can be cut. There are some plumbers who only by longer lengths and cut what they need. However I will caution you that cutting it takes some practice. Some trades people use a chop saw. It that is not available you can use tin snips. Make sure you have snips that are set to cut straight as there are ones that cut left and others right. Go slow as it is easy to go off a straight line.

              by|May 5, 2023

A:  This is enclosure only. There is no element included. This same length with element would be SKU 202312934

A:  Cover only. When installing you may need to bend the support brackets back flush with the back plate that gets screwed onto the wall. This will allow you to slide the unit down between the copper pipe and fins and the wall. After you have done this bend the support brackets back out, raise the piece up to support the pipe, screw on to the wall and attach the face plate.

                  Answer This Question

A:  Baseboard is cut all the time. In fact many contractors will buy only 8' pieces and cut the pieces they need from long lengths. It is easy to do with an electric chop saw and the correct blade, however it can also be done with tin snips. If you have never used hand snips before, I would suggest you practice first as they tend do wander off a straight line until you get the hang of using them. Thank You, Chris

A:  Yes, the end caps are sold separately

                    by|May 5, 2023

A:  Yes the end caps are sold seperately because there are different styles and because baseboard is often installed in series. Meaning a person may use two or more pieces together to make longer runs. If the product came with end caps you would often end up with many unused examples.
