      A:  I can find now "rated" weight limit for the product. However, a family member of about 110 pounds has sat on it with no problems. It is pretty lightweight construction so I don't recommend it for its weight-bearing qualities.

            A:  Yes. The package states it can hold up to 500 lbs seated weight. It is not made of cardboard but rather MDF wood.

                                      A:  I dont what would be that small and still weigh 500lbs, but I'm a solid 230 and I feel perfectly stable sitting on it.

                                        A:  The 500 lb weight was inferred as to ability to sit on. The bottom of interior is soft, there is no way that it could hold much interior weight
