A:  The pins (pintles) point up. The holes (gudgeons) of the door slide down on the pins while the door is open wide. A set screw is screwed in a pre-drilled hole above the bottom pin so the door can slide up and out when opened. The padlock latch inside the lower right is swung out and down. The door is closed. The will be a gap at the top, at first. You then push in lightly on the top of the door with one hand and push up at the bottom of the door with the other hand. The top of the door then slides up underneath the upper ridge lip. Push to door closed the rest of the way and the padlock while slide into the slot and lock the door.

The only way to get whole house protection is to service each branch circuit with either an AFCI or dual function AFCI/GFCI breaker (Type QFGA2 as shown).
