Questions and Answers for ShelterLogic 10 ft. W x 15 ft. D x 8 ft. H Steel and Polyethylene Garage without Floor in Sandstone with Corrosion-Resistant Frame

A:  Coincidentally, I am going to be buying a replacement cover kit for my 10' x 15' x 8' carport because the 5.5 ounce wore out quickly. (verify the following) The replacement kits you can buy are pn: 90536 for the 5.5 ounce sandstone (price a few months ago $150), pn: 805418 for the 14.5 ounce tan (price a few months ago $476), and pn: 805426 for the 21.5 ounce green (price a few months ago $656). I am probably going buy the 21.5 ounce like by 11' x 10' x 24' shed I got in 2010 because it only now needs attention (which I am going to try to spray with Flex Seal). I got 5' of snow this year, and the 2 year old 5.5 ounce was going to rip, and actually DID open up holes. By the way, my 2003 BMW 530i was slightly long for the carport so I staked the end poles closer together so I could pull the end panel out with some grommets and a bracing arrangement.

A:  I would be hesitant to try it. At best you will distort the arch tubes and have difficulty installing the tarp. Worse case would be folding of the arch tubes and destroying the structure.

A:  I'm still trying to get my car in, and I haven't seen many other models that are at least 15 feet in length.

A:  online with Shelter logic replacement parts. the 10x15x8 choice a few months ago were 5.5 ounce for $150, 14.5 ounce for $476, and 21.5 ounce for $656. My 5.5 ounce is approaching tatters in about 2 years. (5 feet of snow and some high winds are going to force me to buy thicker!)

A:  It's going to wear holes in the 5.5 ounce thickness, like it did in about 2 years for me. The thicker is WAY more expensive, but this is still a great buy.

A:  Hello, This Autoshelter has pockets going down the length of the main cover which is used to be held down with pipes that go through them and then are clamped down. A:  It is strapped on.

A:  There are slots in the covering that the poles run through. The large center section just lays on the top of the frame and connects to the bottom frame.

A:  canopy attaches on the sides with bottom rails, and both entrance and rear covers are strapped down to frame. I drilled holes in my tar, at the 4 corners and anchored the frame, so the wind won't blow it away

A:  Hello, This product can be used for many different applications. When using for animals we recommend leaving the front and back panels off as it does get hot inside. This will ensure it is ventilated. Thank you

A:  I put a 10 foot, 3/4" PVC pipe in the sleeve at the bottom of the door. Rolls up nicely to hand on the nubby of the bungy cords. You can figure a way to secure it more than the zippers if you want, but the wind will still blow the door inward/outward, such the because my Beemer was a little long, I squeezed the last 2 feet of the structure closer together so I could pull the back panel out using grommets and a suspension arrangement. Go with the thicker material even though it is much more expensive..... you still have a great product here.

A:  Hello, This shelter does have a front zipper door and solid back panel. The anchors included are four 15" anchors that can be used during assembly. We recommend using a 30" anchor and anchoring every leg down. Thank you

A:  Gotta buy the much more expensive 14.5 oz or 21.5 oz, still a great deal, but I am replacing my 5.5 oz in about year two here. I either brush it off or bounce it off from the inside anyway, and again, either of these two action are going to quickly wear holes in the 5.5 oz version.
