A: I believe so. The description says it will work with cpvc. I used them with pex. You can always buy one for a practice run and try it, which I would recommend anyway. I think the OD is the same for cpvc, copper or pex, just the ID varies because of the wall thickness of the pipe.

A: Rather easy to push on, just be sure it is lined up correctly with the pipe before you start pushing. Shouldn’t have a problem and they are what I would prefer to use in a situation like that

A: As long as the pipe ends are burr free. Use a ratcheting pipe cutter on cpvc. Not a saw. And if copper a pipe cutter. Still hit the edges of the cut pipe lightly wit Emory cloth. They will go on fairly easy. They should go on easily with pex as well. With all pipe or tube You feel some resistance at first and can feel when they seat.

A: HI, When installing the SharkBite 1/2 in. Push-to-Connect x 3/8 in. O.D. Compression Chrome-Plated Brass Quarter-Turn Angle Stop Valve the circumstances of the installation can make it more difficult. You can apply a silicone based lubricant (plumbers grease) to the pipe you are installing the SharkBite 1/2 in. Push-to-Connect x 3/8 in. O.D. A: These Sharkbite fittings are easy to work with. They take some effort to seat firmly onto the water line. I prefer them over sweating a new fitting into place.

A: Hi, The SharkBite 1/2" angle stop has an insertion depth of 15/16". Once the pipe has been cut you will need to deburr the outside edge of the copper pipe. You will also need to ensure the copper pipe is perfectly round and free of any debris or build up on the pipe. I've attached a link to our installation manual. Q:Is it OK to install this inside a covered patio?
by|Mar 13, 2021

Answer This Question
A: Dont see why not but with any outdoor plumbing freezing could be an issue in cold climates if so a separate inside shutoff might be appropriate. You dont want water left in pipes in freezing temps though if youre using pex its a bit more able to tolerate freezing without damage.
by|Apr 9, 2021
