A:  the speaker light can be dimmed with the application from your phone, you do not need change the switch, you can keep the switch on the on position all the time and control the light and sound right from your phone, from turning on, off, sound on or off, hope that helps.

A:  If there is ZERO chance of them getting wet, I would say yes. We have ours in our covered porch lights, and love them. If you are looking for a speaker bulb specifically for outdoor use, Sengled also makes an outdoor safe bulb called the Sengled Pulse Flex that is catered for full on outdoor use.

A:  To whom it may concern, I do have two of these that are outside on my deck under the eves of my home. They supply light and music which can be controlled by my cell phone from their app. The audio output is by Boes audio. They sound great as well. I do recommend these as they just screw into the existing light fixture with no additional wireing required.
