Q:When the screens blow out and need to be replaced, should you be able to use the same track and caps or do you recommend replacing them? I ask for I always have such a time getting them to reseat and they keep popping off.

A: Yes, you should not need to replace any caps or bases unless they become damaged. Please remember to cut away ALL excess screening as it can cause the caps to not snap or stay on if the legs cannot snap into place over the excess screening.

A: The suggested opening size for this system is 40 to 50 sf of opening. It has been used in moderate wind areas with larger openings successfully though.

A: The Screen Tight caps can be painted. The caps needed to be cleaned with denatured alcohol and painted with a latex paint. We don't recommend dark colors as the UV rays can be harsh on vinyl.
