Q:If installing Schluter DITRA-HEAT radiant heating cable, can the cable be run "through" this transition? I am using different tile in 2 adjacent rooms, and want to be able to run 1 heating cable "through" the transition to heat both rooms. Thanks!

Answer This Question
A: Yes, this profile works over the Ditra-Heat membrane between the tile surfaces. The profile is 11/32" in height so as long as the tile thickness with thin set is greater this profile will not come into contact with the Ditra-Heat cable. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact the Schluter Systems' Customer support line at 1-800-472-4588.

Answer This Question
A: At one occasion i used melted vax and it stood very good. Once you pour the wax you may dipp in it by heating the trim with heat gun. It would be also possible to fix it with expanding foam but I never tried it. Well, the easiest is to use the liquid nails glue which will take 24 hours to dry.

A: Select the profile according to joint width, to ensure proper support of the lateral crosspiece. The joint cavity must be at least 3/8" (9 mm) deep and free of debris. Substances that inhibit adhesion must be removed from the sides of the joint. Fill the joint with elastomeric sealant such as Schluter®-KERDI-FIX or similar. Then insert the vertical leg of RENO-T in the joint so that the lateral crosspiece rests completely on the edges of the surface coverings. Remove any excess sealant with a suitable cleaner.

A: This finish is very durable but will show scratches. Using the brushed stainless steel finish would be a better option if using in an area prone to scratching. Model #T9/25EB
