                  A:  you can't do that

A:  For a split finish with the same knob design, the finish for the exterior would go first. Ex: F40 ORB 505 x 625. This will put the pin hole on the brass side, and the push button on the chrome side.

                      Answer This Question

A:  Privacy doors like the Orbit Satin Chrome Bed and Bath Knob from Schlage come with a tool for gaining entry in the event that you find yourself on the wrong side of a locked door. But, if the tool is not handy; you can use any slender, long tool such as a jewelers screwdriver or even a skewer from the kitchen drawer. Insert the tool into the small round opening in the middle of the door knob. You will feel the tool strike a "button" about 1/2 inch inside the door knob. Push. It will take a firm pressure, but the "button" will yield and the lock will open.

A:  Insert tool provided with lock, or use a paper clip (unfolded), and insert into small pin hole in center of lock.

A:  The pin hole on the outside knob can be accessed to unlock the button on the interior. If you use a small allen wrench or a thicker paperclip they can push it in the pin hole and pop out the button
