Q:I noticed on the description that it states something about "non-turning handle", however on the viewer when the item is viewed in the "360 rotation view" it appears that it would latch. So help me on this as I am a little confused. Thank you.

A:  Passage will turn and latch, closet does not turn or latch.

          A:  I believe so. I have French door knobs that are nearly a decade old and show no sun or rain damage.

            A:  Same here. I installed on patio door knob about a month ago and so far the finish is holding up well. The finish on my previous Schlage door knob held up well so decided to go with same brand.

            A:  typically if a non locking function is requested under a deadbolt, you would want to use a F10 function...if a locking function is requested F51. The F40 function is primarily used for bathroom doors. Schlage has a lifetime warranty on finish.
