Answer This Question
A: Yes it has a faceplate and it is removable. It comes also with a round faceplate that fits over the cylinder instead of the flat faceplate. I bought several of these to replace door knobs in my house and some used the flat face plate and some of the round one. There are instructions that tell you how to remove very flat faceplate. Basically just requires a flat screwdriver.

A: No, this product does not contain the face plate.
by|May 5, 2023
A: It does, but you take small flatehead screwdriver to remove if you dour is not prepped for a faceplate.

A: Yes, My doors were not built such that a faceplate would fit in. You simply follow the directions that show to use a small flathead screwdriver to twist the faceplate off. Then your cylinder will fit flat with the door edge.

A: The latch, the piece that goes in through the edge of the door has a faceplate that is removable. The cylinder, where you insert the key does not have a face plate attached. If you have any further questions please feel free to call one of our representatives at (888)-805-9837.

A: The heads of the screw are exposed on one side, but they are deeply
countersunk and are not especially noticeable
by|May 5, 2023
A: This lock will come with a decorative Greyson rose trim plate. The screws will be visible. If you have any further questions about this product, feel free to contact us at 8888059837 and we'll gladly assist you.

A: Screws are not visible on this unit, they screw directly through the mounting plate into the door. The trim piece then snaps onto the mounting plate, usually at the top and bottom of the plate. The Greyson Trim is the ring that covers the screws and mounting plate. See the instruction sheet that came with the unit for complete details. Hope this helps!

Answer This Question
A: You can't have the arc up on the other side.
by|May 5, 2023
A: You will need to use the pin wrench to remove the levers and swap them. Insert the pin wrench into the pin hole and it comes loose. Please call 888-805-9837 if you have anymore questions or concerns.
by|May 4, 2023
A: There was a small round tool, with a finger ring on one end in the box when you purchased the handle. Insert the small round end of the tool into the small round hole on the lever collar and gently push in while pulling the lever out of the collar. Turn the lever in the direction you want it, and push it back into the collar until it clicks. See the Instruction Sheet that came with the unit for complete details. Hope this helps!

Q:How do I switch my handle from a right swing to a left swing?

Answer This Question
A: There is a pin hole that you insert the pin wrench into and it will release the lever so the lock can be reversed. Please call 888-805-9837 if you have anymore questions or concerns.
by|May 4, 2023
A: You insert the outside knob in the opposite direction, or upside down if that makes more sense. The curve of the handle goes down rather than up, but it works.

Q:do these locks come in right and left hand doors
by|Dec 3, 2016

Answer This Question
A: These are universal, they can be left or right hand. Please call 888-805-9837 if you have anymore questions or concerns.
by|May 4, 2023
A: Yes, they can be adjusted to fit either.
by|May 6, 2023
A: They are universal as this model does not have a keyed side or lock -- will fit both right and left hand doors just by reversing the levers. If you buy the ones with a locking tab on the interior lever or keyed opening on the exterior lever, they are not reversible and you will need to specify right or left hand door.
