I can answer your question regarding the refrigerator compressor. Our Samsung fridges have Digital Inverter Compressors. This allows the speed of the compressor to be controlled so that it starts slowly, increases its speed and once the desired temperature is reached, it can slow down to maintain your desired temperature. A: Front door panel has touch pad to raise or lower the fridge temp, and another to do the freezer. Also a hold button to drop the temp down to ice age. Also alarm buttons

A: This particular Samsung refrigerator has only one line that I know of and that is your main water source line for the water dispenser filter and ice maker. Now I do understand some refrigerators have a white and a blue line. The Blue Line being a drain for condensation. if you've got this particular science on refrigerator please note page 16 in your owner's manual on hooking up your water source.
