A: Generally the MKV19OC L2J compressor Samsung uses for this Fridge pulls 6 to 7 amps but keep in mind the power surge start up will need this times 3 which will put you in a 15 to 20 amps so you are better off having your appliance plugged in a 15-20 amp and just have only the fridge in that outlet
Hope this answers your question .

A: The fridge was great but the water filter was not installed since there was no entryway for it but we don’t need it. The service was great and they were done in about 35 minutes!

A: Because the filter is only a sediment filter and not a very good one at that, but it's expensive to replace, and you have no choice but to replace it when it's time. In order to take out taste you need a carbon BLOCK filter, not a carbon granulated filter. So if taste is the issue you should buy either a small carbon block filter and install it behind the fridge into the water line to the fridge, or, buy a whole house large carbon block filter and install it wherever the professional plumber deems to be the best location.
Speaking of replacing your fridge filter, you don't need to change it just because the warning light came on, that light is set up for a 6 month period, and if your water has very little sediment like a municipality water then that filter could be good for 5 years or more, just ignore the warning light. You can tell when the filter is getting clogged when the water stream decreases a lot.

A: The water filter removes unwanted particles from your water. However, it does not sterilize or destroy microorganisms. Here is a helpful link to support your concerns on the ice (https://bit.ly/3hPs4Ck). Thank you for choosing Samsung! ^Lena
