A: This mesh will keep yellow jackets out. It is very durable and strong. Great for repelling pest. I use it on my vent holes for my shed.

A: Yes, he mesh size is 9 x 9 per inch resulting in holes far too small for a yellow jacket wasp to pass through.

A: I do not think so. Rodents can easily chew through the fibreglass mesh if they find a reason to pass.

A: Possibly, though it is not a wire-based mesh, so they may chew threw it if they are determined.

A: You would have to double up on the install, another words 2 layers overlapping each other. We used it in our barn soffett's up high to keep birds out. You would be better off for rodents to use a wire mesh screen.

Answer This Question
A: Possibly... the mesh itself is strong enough (it won't tear or pull apart), but being only 8" wide, you will need to have it supported across the bottom on something else, otherwise it will fall through, as it is flexible. Something with a 1" square grid should work. Anything larger and it will push thru.

A: Hi Elle.
Thank you for your question.
You could use this type of material but you would be better off using Weed Mat.
https://www.homedepot.com/s/Weed%20Mat?NCNI-5
The Weed Mat material will hold back most of the soil except for the minute particles and will allow air and water to flow thru it without getting clogged. The Weed Mat is better suited for garden bed as it is at least 3 feet wide and at least 50 foot long.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

A: Not sure I understand what you are trying to do, are you trying to use this as a support with no sub-base or do you just want to lay it on your sub-base. if you are making a raised bed you still need to fill the bed you don't suspend the soil. In either case you should only need garden fabric below and above in your bed.

A: This product can be used under vents.

A: It will prevent most insects, rodents can chew through it. Consider this on top of hardware cloth - what I have heard called "rabbit wire" or "rat wire"
