There is a window kit VA-80172 that can be installed with the following series: 6103, 6104, 6204, 7104 and 7114. Thank you for choosing Sterling Plumbing.

A:  Yes. It is the model number 71044100 and 7104 wallsets are compatible with the Sterling Window Trim Kit. Jessica from Sterling seems to be mistaken. She cited the Item # rather than model #. There are limitations to the size and height of the window however, I need to find the documentation again, but the window must be above a certain height. I purchased this wallset because it was one of the few that allows for a window. I have not yet installed it though (need to do demo first).

A:  I found the link to the window trim kit. A:  I am assuming from your question that you have a low window that would otherwise be covered up by this enclosure, and that you want to cut out a portion of the back plastic piece to keep it from being covered. Yes, it could be done with some effort, although you would really need to ensure a good seal around the window sill. As part of the process of installing my enclosure, I avoided the whole problem by relocating the window up above the shower enclosure so as to not interfere. In large part this was because water had penetrated through the old tiled window seal and rotted away the joists. In my opinion low windows around showers with a lot of splashing and potential eventual leakage is seldom a good idea.

A:  The material can be cut, however I would not recommend making any cuts in the panels. The surround doesn’t sit flat against the wall. There would be a gap left between the surround and the wall/ window. The strength of the surround would be compromised as well.

A:  Freight delivery was late by 4 days. Unit is nice. Wish there were more choices for that 5ub.
