A: I happen to like the thickness of our rug, having all wood floors it’s nice and comfy to lay on in front of the fireplace.

A: Hi Rebecca. The pile height for this rug is 2 inches thick. There are other shag collections with a lower pile height and weave density. Please consider the 'Safavieh Florida Shag' or the 'Safavieh New Orleans Shag' for thinner options. Thank you.

A: I think the reason it looks this way in pictures is because the fibers in the rug are made up of shades of ivory and shades of gray. When it first arrived I was fearful that the gray area was lighter than anticipated. But once I fluffed the shag it was perfect. I would say it’s lighter than a dark charcoal but it’s so easy to match other items because the rug fibers have different colors within them. Hope that’s helpful

A: Hi Kate. Please refer to the room photo, silo, and the detailed corner shot for the most accurate depiction. There might be a lighting discrepancy on the other photos that is causing the a color variation. Thank you.

A: Hi Alli. This rug does not have a backing and we recommend using a rug pad to prevent it from shifting and sliding. It does have a jute weft on the back however. Thank you.
