Q:The mfg recommends this rug to be professionally dry cleaned, yet it is an outdoor carpet. My current outdoor rug, which is similar, is 5 yrs old and each year I wash it down with a hose and general cleaner. Can this rug be washed with a hose?

A: Hi Linda. The overall color of this rug is a light beige that borders ivory and dark gray. The gray is where it might seem a bit like brown but it is the shading of the threads that give off that tone. Thank you for your inquiry.
