A:  Happy to help. Prior to applying Rust-Oleum LeakSeal Spray to metal, remove all dirt and debris from the area to be coated. Wash area with a detergent and water solution, rinse with fresh water, and allow the surface to dry thoroughly. Remove any loose rust, paint or previous coatings with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand glossy surfaces. Wipe the sanded surface clean when finished. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

LeakSeal is not suitable for use in wheel wells. A:  I’m sure you could use it fir that but you would need to check the application requirements to make sure it lasts. We used it for a metal roof in Florida and it’s still going strong. 

A:  I applied two layers about 4 hours apart. Not sure if that is the label recommendations or not, just what I did. Two light layers, easy to go too heavy, particularly with the clear.

A:  Thanks for reaching out. Rust-Oleum Stops Rust LeakSeal Spray dries to the touch in 2 hours, allow 24 hours for full cure. It is recommended to apply a light first coat. Apply a second heavier coat to ensure proper coverage. A thicker film can be achieved by moving the nozzle closer to the surface. Initial spray may have some foaming or bubbling, but will dissipate as the coating dries. For best results, apply 2 coats. Allow to dry 15-30 minutes between coats. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6
