It is suitable for use on shoes, patio furniture, backpacks, gloves and camping gear. It is not recommend for use on 100% cotton.

A: Thanks for reaching out Doug. Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric Water Repelling Treatment can be applied on polyester, cotton/polyester blends and canvas fabrics. If your patio umbrella is one of those fabrics, it can be applied. A test spray is recommended to obtain a feel for the spray pattern. Test in an inconspicuous area before application for colorfastness.
