A: Just the end tips have about 6 "teeth" on each side of the clip. It probably would do ok with a light fabric if you didn't pull on it much, but it might tear a delicate fabric. Mine are hung on a med weight room darkening 96x37 panel and do just great - no rips or tears - with constant opening and closing the curtain by grasping the panel itself.

A: These clips do have teeth, but whem used properly they will not damage the fabric.
