      A:  John, Thank you for your question. The HOT and COLD water connections are 3/4 in. NPT on all models. Install a shut-off valve in the cold water line near the water heater.

The reference mark "Hot" represents an approximate water temperature of 125°F. The reference mark "A" represents an approximate water temperature of 130°F The reference mark "B" represents an approximate water temperature of 140°F The reference mark "C" represents an approximate water temperature of 150°F The reference mark "Very Hot" represents an approximate water temperature of 155°F.

It is recommended that a periodic inspection of the Combination Gas Control (Thermostat), burner, relief valve, and venting system should be made by service personnel qualified in gas appliance repair. It is suggested that a routine preventative maintenance program be established and followed by the user. Additional details regarding maintenance can be found on page 20 of the Use and Care Manual.
