This means that warranty coverage ends when the product becomes unusable for reasons other than defects in materials or workmanship, or two (2) years after AMES discontinues manufacturing the Product, whichever is later. A:  Website says 7.5lbs. It's not too heavy. The metal part is the one that has the most weight. Handle is light. I let the shovel fall without much effort to get into the soil. Saved my back.
