A: None of the ones in the picture cut glass. You need a carbide/ diamond scroll saw blade. They really are meant for wood.
A: Hello, Edward - Thank you for your interest in the Regular Tooth Scroll Saw Blades Assortment (18-Piece). There is not a glass cutting blade. A: The Dremel 1800 takes 5? blades - so yes, these pin-blades should work fine.
A: yes
A: Yes
A: If your saw accepts 5" pinned blades then yes, they will work with your Wen scroll saw.
A: Yes, I have a Wen as well and they work with it. I've completed several projects without any issue.
A: Thank you Woodworker for your interest. We cannot recommend the use in any other brands, that would be required to be confirmed by the manufacturer or your item. ~Best Regards, Ashley
A: These blades will NOT work in DW788. These blades have a pin on each end (if you expand picture you will see the pins). DW588 requires a straight 5 inch blade will no pins.
A: YES. I use pinned blades every day with my Dewalt 788. The 788 requires pinless blades so all you have to do is use a pair of plyers and pull the pins out (they are not welded in place, just friction fed). In a lot of cases, pinned blades are cheaper and more readily available at home centers. If you have a pair of plyers, then these blades WILL work for you.
A: If your saw require 5" pinned blades then yes, these will work. The brand name on the blades have no bearing on what saw they work on. Check the requirements for the saw you have for the size and type of blade it uses. If you don't have the owner's manual you can go to the DeWalt website for the information. Here's an additional resource for you...... http://scrollsawreviews.com/accessories/blades/scroll-saw-blade-selection-guide
A: Hi Unhappy1, You would need to check with DeWalt on the type of blades your scroll saw uses. Thanks for asking. Greg
A: Really not sure you have to look in the manual that came with your saw
A: The Ryobi blades are pinned blades not plain end. Most quality scroll saws do not use pinned blades. An adapter may be available at extra cost, but then you use pinned blades which require a significantly larger hole in the work piece through which to insert the blade. Then you loose some of the magic of a scroll saw. With a good saw there is no advantage to pinned blades.
A: No, that saw uses pinless blades
A: No you have to get carbide bits and not the cheap ones
A: I've never tried it, however I'm confident the short answer is "probably, but slowly, severely dulling the blade." A better answer is that this is not the tool for that job. If I were anticipating the occasional nail in scrap wood, I'd try to use a reciprocating saw with a fine to medium blade; these saws excel at such demolition work. Any blade intended to cut metal will likely be a bit fine for wood, especially if you want rapid cuts. A coarse blade intended to cut wood might bind on a nail, possibly shattering the blade, damaging the tool, or jumping unpredictably, risking injury.
A: Sorry, No, the package states Wood and Plastic only
A: Hi Kppony, This blades are for wood and some PVC materials. They will not cut nails. Thanks for your interest. Greg
A: If you can find High Speed Steel (HSS) blades you can cut "thin" cold roll steel, brass, copper or aluminum without too much difficulty. Carbide is too hard and brittle so you won't find any saw blades for a scroll saw in this material. You may find cobalt which is a bit harder and longer lasting than High Speed Steel. Cobalt blades you can cut thin (up to a 1/32") stainless as well.
A: No they will not
A: no
A: The 18 blade set includes 6 skip tooth blades for thin wood. The blade has 18.5 tooth per inch (TPI) and is .079" wide and .0098" thick. The package says it will work up to 3/4" thick wood but I found it works entirely too slow on wood that thick. For that thickness, I used the regular tooth blades with are 15 TPI and .118" wide and .0197" thick. Finally, for wood up to 2" thick, there are hook tooth blades with 7 TPI and they are .118" wide and .0197" thick. The blades are all 5" long and pinned; they can cut wood or PVC.
A: Hi Bad, This is an 18pcs set with 6 each of 7PTI, 15TPI and 18.5TPI. Thanks for asking. Greg
A: It's an 18 blade set of regular tooth saw blades. They are all the same blade with pins for scroll saws that take 5" pinned blades.
