A: Lifetime
A: The plastic wrap that comes around the drum says "lifetime warranty" (against material defects and workmanship). There might be some "fine print" on their website. I would suggest contact the store first. However, they may refer you to the manufacturer. Goodluck.
A: I have found Home Depot to be very understanding on defective tools. Also, I returned mine after one use as I think it is not a very good tool.
A: none
A: Hi, Tom. My name is Lynn from Ridgid. For information regarding this pumping tool, please contact support at 1-800-474-3443 option 4.
A: the snake is pretty stiff and doesn't turn 90 degree corners. At least I've had no luck turning them.
A: Maybe if you have 1" PVC pipe or larger. Check your Air Filter if it is dirty your A/C Fan will pull a suction up your condensate drain. If you have a long lateral run in your attic you may need a vent on the condensate drain line. Try compressed air. Blow from the attic down. (to keep foreign matter out of your A/C) Try some ZEP 64 oz. Liquid Heat Gel Drain Opener if the clog doesn't blow free. Model # ZULHG64 Wear Safety Glasses and Gloves A/C condensate drain shouldn't have much in it..(Insects and Rodents at the most)
A: If you can access the pipe and your clog is less that the 25' length of the snake than you should no issues. This will go around corners fairly easy provided you are turning cranking and twisting.
A: Basically I think this product is junk.but it might actually work on a PVC A/C condensate drain. However, be prepared to crank the handle hundreds of times because only a small amount extends with each crank. For normal blocked drains, I found it useless even after cranking forever.
A: Yes. It worked for us.
A: I used it for a toilet clog and it worked pretty good. I've used other "snakes" in the past which seemed to be a little simpler to use.
A: It might, but it's more designed for smaller drains like sinks, lavatories and shower/tub drains. There's a more specialized tool for toilets called a closet auger...also can be purchased at HD that's just made to unclog toilets...the how to use instruction may be with the tool, a helpful associate there at HD may help or you can find many helpful step by step tutorials on line from U- tube.
A: Cannot not use in toilets.
A: YES. It worked fine for me.
A: Yes if you can access the drain and the clog is within it's 25' range this should solve your problems.
A: Yes
A: yes....I think so.
A: Yes. That's what we used ours for and it worked good. A lot quicker than calling a plumber.
A: yes. Ibought mine for that reason.
A: No. This will cut holes in the vinyl dryer vent.
A: VINYL DUCT IS NOT SAFE FOR DRYERS AND IS NOT ALLOWED BY CODE. it is for bathroom venting only. read up on this, because even the most flexible aluminum ducting is not safe or allowed for dryers. lint accumulates where it hits rough edges of the duct, and becomes a SAFETY HAZARD.
A: Yes I would try it.
A: Drill Powered Duct Brush Kit Model # PCPBHD would work better. Could be easier and cheaper to replace. 4 in. x 20 ft. Standard White Vinyl Flexible Hose. Model # EX-SVH 04
A: I suppose you might be able to clean out a blockage but it would not clean the entire duct as it is too big. It's a worthless tool as far as I am concerned.
A: Not on this one but Rigid does make a red model which can either be cranked by hand or ran via a cordless drill. Spend the extra and go for the upgrade its worth it!!
A: No you have to do it by hand. When I was using it all I could dream about was using a power drill with it.
A: No
A: There isn't an attachment for use with a power drill.
A: Not with the one I bought.
A: Not recommeded for toilets
A: I used it for my kitchen sink. It broke.
A: this small drain snake is better suited for smaller drains...tub/shower, lavatories and sinks. Toilets are better unstopped by the use of a specialized tool called a closet auger or toilet auger, which is also available at Home Depot. There are tutorials on U-Tube for the proper use of these tools for best results, you just have to search for your particular problem. I bought this tool to clear a stoppage in my tub and it worked very well.
A: Yes.
A: Yes, this is for the Homeowners Sinks and Stools. Not for tree roots in the Main Drain Line.
A: Yes, I would try it.
A: Drill Powered Duct Brush Kit Model # PCPBHD would work better.
A: this depends on the inside diameter of the vent. The snake has some weight and you won't be able to direct the snake anywhere other than laying in the bottom of the vent. So if you can grab the clog from the bottom and "wind" it into the end of the snake then pull it out, then it should work.
A: If you are talking about a clogged air vent attached to your house plumbing, it might work. However, as far as I am concerned this is a piece of junk. I tried to use it to unclog a rain drain - no success and the thing barely works. Even when it does work it takes forever to crank it in or out.
A: Yes
A: its made for a sink the head isn't big enough for a toilet in my opinion
A: Hello Al, I’m Chris from the Home Depot’s how-to Community. Thank you for your question. No. What you need for toilets is called a toilet auger. A drain auger like this will score and scratch the toilet bowl. Toilet augers, as you will see, have a rounded shield that protects the visible parts of the toilet bowl. Look for toilet augers here: http://www.homedepot.com/b/Plumbing-Drain-Openers-Plumbing-Snakes-Augers/N-5yc1vZbqoe I hope this helps, Chris. .
A: Yes. This is for the Homeowner. Sinks, Showers and Stools.
A: It should work if the clog is not too far down the pipe. You will probably need to remove the screen on the top of the drain to make room for inserting the snake into the pipe.
A: yes
A: Thank you for contacting RIDGID. The Kwik-Spin is designed to clear up to 1 1/2" lines.
A: yes, it may be easier if you remove the strainer first, but be careful not to lose the screws.
How can we help?
