A: Hello, Eddie - Thank you for your question. The screws normally used to install 2x4s or 2x6s for decking are 3 in. L and have 1 in. of unthreaded shank. Since 2x4 and 2x6 deck material is 1-1/2 in. I hope this helps! A: I purchased it about 2 years ago. It's not worth ANY money. Went with DeWalt
A: Make sure the tool is driving in forward position. The foreard reverse button can trick you in that situation. Use the allen key provided to adjust the depth stop to the size screw you are using. Also keep watch for the collated screw strip not to get snagged into the feed thru plastic well. It takes a bit if practice but i used this tool to drive 2.5 drywall screws into old plater ceilings and walls and it was better than driving one screw at a time. Just need to get the hang of it.
A: does not run off a battery it is elect plus i sent my back I had problems with it
A: No this is corded
A: No it's corded

A: Would recommend and impact driver over this screw gun for hangers or straps but it will drive exterior screws without issue. The strips of exterior screws are a little pricey over tech nails or a box of exterior screws.
A: I went through a few thousand screws with this guy. Takes a bit to figure out a good rythym when you've never used one. At the end i didnt want to buy another bucket so i picked up the loose screws that didnt drive. You can press them back into an old plastic clip, but at best you get like 2/3 of them to drive and not fall out again.
A: Yes it can be done. With that being said it’s designed to screw screws that are all ready standing at attention. Ie: it will finish driving any screw. If your trying to start short screws with this driver be prepared to fail the first few times and always wear gloves
