    A:  Hi, I asked Tech for assistance and they recommend getting the K750 with the 5/8" cable. It will work better for your application. Please see the link below. https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/k750-drum-machine

      A:  While the k-50 is a capable machine I would not attempt to clear a main with roots in it with the K-50. Really recommend going with something larger - like the 1500 with the 1-1/4” cable and the smaller funnel head to start.

        A:  Cable comes in sections of about 8-10 feet... these sections can be joined together to form long (or a very long snake/auger). They come in different sizes (length & thickness) and are sold separately
