Questions and Answers for Quick Dam 12 in. x 24 in. Expanding Barriers (20-Box)

A:  I've had mine out for months as we've had copious amounts of rain. I've noticed it dries out in about a week with sun and of course no further rain but the size I'm using outside the business door is 6" x 17'. The smaller ones should dry up in no time. I've not used the smaller ones yet, I have them on hand in the event I needed to add height to the existing one and I could stack them around. I have not seen any fading, ripping or other damage. I would recommend these to anyone needing a water barrier. They are fast acting! I would absolutely purchase these again for personal or business use. Hope this helps!

A:  They dry out through evaporation. So depending on the humidity levels- it could take 2-3 months. We recommend storing them in a shaded area to avoid degradation with sunlight. For ongoing issues, we recommend leaving them in place to activate as needed, typically lasting 3-6 months.

A:  They seem pretty tough but I'm not sure how they'd hold up under the weight of a vehicle?

A:  They can be driven over when not activated or partially activated. Once full- I would not recommend it. The can be dragged back & forth as needed- but I would be concerned about rupturing it- when it's at full capacity. If driven over as partially activated- then be sure to "squish" the gel back into place so there is not a path for the water to travel through.

A:  I would NOT cut this, there are many sizes to choose from. If you HAD to cut, you would need a sewing machine to seal the ends.

A:  Only if you can sew it closed again- otherwise the powder or activated gel will fall out.

A:  The product will weigh 106 pounds.

A:  I don't think that is right.... I can pick up the box of 20 very easily, guessing about 10 pounds. Maybe the weight you reference is actually the weight when at full capacity wet? The filling in this size before use is about the size of a pack of cards or cigarettes. The rest is empty... the filling swells very quickly to fill up the rest of the space.
