A:  Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. We cannot recommend a change on these glass shades. This fixture has not be tested with other shades. Please keep in mind that any modifications of any kind to Progress Lighting Fixtures will Void any and all factory warranties and could potentially void UL listing also. Thanks!

    A:  Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. The fixture comes with a white prismatic glass lens included with the fixture. In the picture where the glass looks more amber, that is due to the type of light bulb used in the fixture, and the finish on the wall that is reflected in the glass. Thank you!

          A:  Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. You can purchase a chain pliers from Home Depot or you can use a needle nose pliers to "open the links". Please note if using a needle nose please use a piece a cloth around it, so they do not scratch the surface of your chain. Thanks!

            A:  you need to pry them apart but our ceilings are 10 feet high so there's no way that we can even tell that it was done.

              A:  Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. You can install CFL/LED lamps as long as the equivalent rating does not exceed the original maximum wattage. Please pay careful attention to the bulb manufacturer’s warning/caution statements on the packaging or printed on the lamp. For example, many CFL’s will indicate on the packaging that they cannot be used in an enclosed fixture or used with a dimmer. Thanks!
