Depending on what tools you have available for sanding or grinding, you would have to watch the heat generated so the part does not deform. You may wish to speak with an associate at you local Home Depot ProDesk to have them show you products that will work for you.

          A:  1/8 inch seems to be a lot more than mine was (too wide) - However I used bench grinder and thinned down outsides
