A:  Yes, but you will have to buy longer screws. My door is 1 5/8”, & the provided screws were not long enough.

It will depend on the space you have on each side of the pocket door opening so the handle set will clear this space. You might need to get the correct size mounting screws for it to work. Also, you would have to figure out where to correctly mount the "keeper" / strike plate on the door jamb.
