A: Hi,
I needed a lot myself but I do not remember there being boxes available because that's what I would have purchased. Each package came with 2 lifts and hardware. I will say this I had to reuse the original screws because the new ones would not work correctly, just FYI.

A: I don't know about getting them by the box. Perhaps a store employee can help you.
Note before you buy: the flange is pretty flat on these. My other ones which broke had more of a finger groove to pull with. Depends on how you need to use it. At least the entire thing is metal. The last ones I had were plastic so they broke down in sunlight especially and broke becoming unusable.

Q:I have a Andersen wood window and the old sash lift is inside of wood with one screw Can this be used on outside ? And will it cover existing lift which looks like it is recessed on inside.Thank You!

Answer This Question
A: My windows are wood on the inside and clad on the exterior so I can only use as an inside lift. If your windows are wood only I'm sure you could install these on the outside, but I'm not sure how they would weather.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. The lift will work on a vinyl window. The screws are 3/4" long so just be cautious how close to glass pane it is installed.

Q:How deep the bolt screw goes in?

A: 1/2 inch

A: The attachment screw goes about 1/2" into the sash, more than enough for a strong installation. Remember to measure the width of the sash and the handle to find the center of each. Align the marks for the horizontal alignment. Locate the vertical alignment at a comfortable position. I chose to install the top part of the handle to the top of the bottom sash. Easy way to ensure the handle is parallel with the sash. Depending on the number of windows, make a template for each sash width.

A: Unless you have a wooden sash I strongly recommend getting shorter screws.
