A:  I used small screws and have not had any problems.

A:  Although you could use heavy-duty carpentry staples the way high-volume cabinet shops do, they are not required for this kit. The kit comes with Phillips-head wood screws for the center-guides and brads for the side-guides. The only tools needed are a #2 Phillips screwdriver, an awl or nail to mark the screw starting holes, a tack hammer, a ruler or measuring tape to accurately locate the guides, and a sharp pencil.
