Q:Can this go in between a exterior door and the storm door? Im assuming yes, as long as the arrow is pointing towards the door? I didn't want to mount it on the outside molding but on the molding in between the two doors. Does that make sense?

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. The closer arm of this door closer does have the ability to swing a full 180 degrees, but once it is mounted in place, your door’s distance of swing will be reduced to point of where it makes contact with the bullet-shaped housing of the closer. If you do not want to lose the current 180 degree swing of the door, you may wish to consider our concealed door closers that install into the jamb, and pull the door closed via a chain that is connected to the edge of the door panel. For these types of door closers, consider these part numbers: KC01BFS, KC30US and KC32HD.

A: Thank you for your inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. This item is designed to push the door closed, which is the only manner in which it has been tested and rated. Using this spring door closer in a manner other than how it was designed to be used will void it's warranty.

A: If the gate weighs the same or less than a standard interior door it should work.

A: Absolutely, The one concern that I had was that the closer came with wood screws; however, with appropriately size pilot holes, installation went well. Because there are four screws (close together), they must be square with the surface or it will be difficult to seat the closer body.
