A: The lower line. Top line is for 40:1 and bottom is 50:1 for 1 gallon of gas.
A: This tricky little bottle has a section on top that you can fill by squeezing the bottom section. If you get too much up there you can tip the bottle an drain some back to the bottom section. The top section has marked graduations for all different fuel/oil ratios, 50:1, 40:1, etc. All you have to do is pump the desired amount of oil up to the top and then pour it into your 1 gallon gas can. Easzy Peazy.
A: Chris, Thank you for your interested in PowerCare 16 oz. 2-Cycle Oil. You always want to use 2.6 fluid ounces of oil for one gallon of gas in a 50:1 mixture. I hope this helps. - Vini
A: 2.5 oz would be 50:1 for a gallon of gasoline. (50-to-1 would mean that the mix would be composed of 51 parts: 50 parts gasoline and one part oil. A gallon is 128 ounces, and 128/51=2.5)
A: The upper resolver has the 50 to one mark. This container is used when someone needs a heaver mix than 50/1. This is the mix for newer units. Refer to your machine for the correct mix.
A: Hi Football, We appreciate your interest in the POWERCARE 16 oz. 2-Cycle Oil. If your tool requires 2 cycle oil, then yes this can be used. Thanks for asking! - Eve
A: Yes you can. Be aware, your unit will smoke more. My old Chain saw recommends to use 15 to one oil mix. Newer units are just fine with the 50 to one mix.
A: Yes. Just change the ratio of oil to gas as recommended by your manufacturer. Most equipment uses 50:1. Follow your manual. This product is great because it has stabilizer in it to.
A: u can,but just add a little more oil to it,appox. 0.64 of an ounce.
A: Yes, just calculate the number of ounces of gasoline (i.e. 128/gallon) and add 1/40th that amount in oil. One gallon gets 3.2 oz of oil for a 40:1 mix.
A: Yes
A: Hi Boricua4u2001, Thanks for your question! The Powercare 16 oz. 2-Cycle Oil is compatible with any trimmer that requires 2 Cycle engine oil. - Eve
A: This is in addition to my previous comment. Make sure you check your manufacturers recommendations on the oil/fuel ratio.
A: Read your manual or find the model on line. If the unit is under 5 years or newer, this is just fine
A: This should be good on any 2 cycle gas powered string trimmer. I use it on ALL of my 2 cycles machines. What is nice about this product, is that it has the stabilizer in it. Btw I also use a mid-grade gas in all of my equipment which keeps the engines cooler and better starting. Good luck.
A: I am sure this oil is comparable to other brands that are on the market. I have used this oil for several years. One engine is over 30 years and is still strong. Use it with confidence.
A: It meets or exceeds JASO, FED Standard....I do not know why it does not say it on the bottle, I looked it up !!!!
A: See attachment
A: Meets JASO FC standard, not FD. FC is low smoke. FD is low smoke also but has a higher detergency property

A: Hi Dave, The bottle is marked as a 50:1 ration mix. that means you use 50 parts gas to 1 part 2 cycle oil. So if you have 1 gallon of gas then you would add 2.6oz of 2 cycle oil. Hope this helps. Greg
A: The ratio is listed on the front of the bottle. It is a 50:1 ratio. 1 part oil to 50 parts gas. So 2.56 oz Oil for a gallon of gasoline.
A: 2.6 ounces per gallon for a 50:1 mix
A: Cause different machines have different amounts. Look up what machine u r using and what it call for
A: Try opening the back label. Pretty sure it is 2.6 oz to 1 gallon.
A: Yes
A: Hello KBM. This oil is not NMMA approved, so I would use the 32:1 fuel/oil mix ratio for your unit. Thank you for your question!
A: Hi KBM, This is not an oil you will use with marine/boat motors. It should be fine for your snow blower. Thanks for asking. Greg
A: From what I have read on NMMA oil certification it seems like NMMA applies to marine industry 4 stoke and marine industry 2 stroke oils mostly....maybe you could call the tech dept. at power care ... I am sorry I could not be of any help !!!!
A: Yes it is. But for your need get the premixed gas more money but a better grade of gas and will help keep your equipment in great snap.
A: Yes it does !!!!!!!
A: Yes it does meet or exceed those standards!!!!!
A: yes
A: Hello RGB. Yes this meets he ISO standard for 2cycle engine oil. Thanks for your question. Cerah
A: Yes
A: I would trust it
A: Yes
A: It says it is a synthetic blend !!!!
A: Considering it has additives such as fuel stabilizer in it, I would consider it synthetic.
A: The Home Depot description says it is a synthetic blend.
A: Hi Lawnboy, This oil is a blend of regular oil and synthetic oil. Thanks for asking. Greg
A: If your generator is a 2 cycle this will work....if your generator is a 4 cycle it MAY NOT....I am not sure .... is your generator 2 stroke or 4 stroke ?????
A: Most stabilizers run 1 oz. per 5 gals. I run 2 ozs./5 gals. Startron and StaBil Marine for Ethanol are about the best out there. This will counteract the negative effects of ethanol and keep fuel fresh for roughly 24 months.
A: You generator is straight gas, this is for 2 stroke engines.
A: Thenaq, thanks for the reply. The generator is a 2-stroke engine. I already have some stabilizer and am planning to use it with the 2-stroke oil.
A: Hi TJtheDJ, This is a 2 cycle motor oil with stabilizer add to it. You would not use this with a Generator unless it has a 2 cycle motor. Hope this helps. Greg
A: If you squeeze the right amount of oil to 40:1 mix for 1 gallon IT IS correct!!!!
A: 40:1 and 50:1 are most common ratios. However, Lawnboy uses 32:1 which would be 4 ozs./Gal. The lubricant doesn't care what recommended ratio the OEM recommends. NEVER deviate from 32:1 for the later Lawnboys, and pre-1972 require 16:1.
A: Hi TJ, The ratios are for the specific tool you are using if it calls for a 50:1 then fill to the 50:1 line and add that amount to a gallon of gas if it is 40:1 then fill that to the proper line and add to a gallon of gas. The larger the ratio number the less oil in a gallon of gas. Hope this helps. Greg
A: Yes it’s the amount of oil you add to the gas. So this could be used from 30/50:1 ratio. Pretty easy
A: All my equipment is 50 to 1, but to answer your question, yes you can mix this product at 40 to 1 if that's what your equipment calls for. It should be stamped on the fuel tank cap or certainly in the manual. Just use the table on the bottle and you'll be good to go.
How can we help?
