A:  Yes, the canvas seems pretty water-resistant. Altho the iron stand may rust.

A:  We use the canvas to tote the wood from out back to the house. It's getting a beating, and still looks great. I wouldn't keep it outside - would think that mice and other critters would be attracted to the canvas to use for nesting material.and gnaw at it.
