Answer This Question
A: The mirror has safety backing on the reverse side. The mirror bifold doors are to be installed in a reach through installation only (closet application), not as a room divider.

A: Hello! I think you could probably use decorative paper on the back side of the mirror on the Pinecroft 24x80 inch bi-fold doors. Maybe even paint. The glue that they used does show in places along the side where they put in the mirror and is thick and raised. Not sure if you could remove that or not to make a nice flat place for the paper. It has a sticker on the back that says that it is a safety backed mirror. It is smooth to the touch but looks like ripples and is gray in color. I put these doors on my closet so I didn't need to finish the back side of the mirror. You would think that these doors wouldn't take much time to paint or stain since there is very little wood. But it takes some time to get them done and the effort and time is very much worth it. They are beautiful doors and slide beautifully. I just love them!

Q:Hi, I need 18" door, can i purchased 36" and use just half? How hard it would be to install?
by|Mar 17, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Each panel measures 17-3/4"W x 78-5/8"H. How difficult it would be to install one panel would depend on how you are installing it and the hardware you are using. A sales associate at your local Home Depot store can offer you assistance with your questions. Please remember that installing the Pinecroft bifold other then a bifold door will void the warranty.
