Answer This Question
A: Yes, it cuts well. The finer the blade, the smoother the cut. Use at least 24 TPI (Teeth Per Inch) even better would be 32 TPI. I suggest also putting painters tape where you want to cut it for best results.

A: Hello Star, thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot.
This product is made of thin aluminum and intended to cover seams or gaps between flooring surfaces, and it may not be what you are looking for! Instead, please try searching for an 'Outdoor Anti Slip Stair Tread' on Homedepot.com and you will see several options listed that may work best for this scenario. I hope this helps!
We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

Q:Need something to connect vinyl sheeting floor to vinyl laminate plank floor. Not much difference in height. Can I glue this to concrete floor & could this be painted?

A: This is exactly what I used to transition between laminate flooring and vinyl planking. Both were on the same level and I just needed something to bridge the two. a small height difference won't matter. It's not very high and works well. I do suggest drilling a small (1/16") pilot before you nail it down. spiral nails are very unforgiving, and it saves you from marring the strip. I also stopped a bit short of flush and then used a nail set for the same reason. Looks great.

A: This isn't meant for that use, with how thin it is I don't think it would work for that.

A: it could, but there are better products for that purpose. Get an step edge which has a curved nose to protect the front of the step and has a fluted top to help prevent slipping. Look for "metal stair nosing"

A: the product is extruded aluminum, so it won't rust. HOWEVER
I don't think it is the product to use to prevent slipping. I would suggest the adhesive backed tape designed for just that.
Look for "Grit tape" It is designed for outdoors, is water-proof and provides the best amount of traction.
Place it near, but not right at the edge, and it should do the trick.
