A:  No, these two models are different, the 4022 is a complete/hand held unit, the 4073 would need additional parts to be purchased/installed to function completely. It is not typically recommended to purchase parts to resolve an issue with an old unit since these units change greatly over time & these new parts may not work with an old unit. A:  Per the manufacturer rep, if this is an older cast iron tub & your wall is flat, then yes you can use this item & you can change the shower head, as well.
