A:  pull up on the spring loaded pin. I find it easiest to set center section on the floor with the wheels in the air and then pull the pin.

A:  No there is not a loader for this lift, you might have to hire 2 young high school kids to move & load it for you.

A:  Yes.You can use it lift anything that the capacity allows. It may be a bit tricky if the boards are about the same width or just a little bigger than the lift arm otherwise, easy to use and set up. The unit is pretty heavy as a whole.

              by|Mar 4, 2020

A:  Yes, it should work for 4×8 OSB just fine as long as the footing or platform you're placing the hoist on is level and can support the weight.

                  A:  Yes, works.

                  by|Mar 4, 2020

A:  You should be able to use this with any 4x8(sheetrock, plywood, osb, etc) products

                    by|Mar 4, 2020

A:  Yes as long as they don't exceed the max weight, I used this lift to raise 5/8" 4x12' sheetrock 11' foot in the air with no problem! Great solid lift!

A:  Yes, I used it for sheetrock and OSB in my garage. As long as the weight doesn't exceed 150 lb. The lift is terrific, makes these projects much easier to complete!

Q:What are the dimensions of the box that the hoist is shipped in (will it fit in a medium size suv)?

                        Answer This Question

A:  Hi, I've thrown out the box but it should fit in your SUV with the seats down. It's quite heavy and it may need 2 people to lift into & out of the SUV. This is a great lift BTW, I used it on my 950 sq ft 3 car garage with a 10' ceiling as well as a 900 sq ft bonus room above it. It can easily be taken apart for transport or storage and is very well made, much better than the cheap HF and other cheap units available on line. The few bucks more for this unit is really well worth it!

                        by|Jun 14, 2019

A:  I bought mine and it was shipped. The box is mid sized. Everything knocks apart so it is relativly compact. Yes it will fit in a SUV. Nothing is over three feet long.

A:  The top bar mechanism tilts from what is shown (about 15 degrees off vertical) to a horizontal position.

                                A:  It does not

                                by|Mar 21, 2019

A:  It tilts as the picture shows on the HD website. The upper part freely spins so you can do things like I did yesterday like raising a 10' 5/8" fire rated sheet up 10 feet between garage door rails then spin the sheet slowly 90 deg (while rolling it). It saved a lot of time not having to take down the whole garage door & rails, or using a bunch of small pieces! We just took the bolts that held the end of the track up out and slipped the sheetrock under it. This lift is very well thought out, it has a floor brake (not all lifts have it) which is really needed when lifting heavy 125 lb sheets onto a lift, it's very easy to bump the lift and then you're "chasing" the lift with the 125 lb sheet, NOT safe!!! It also has a lock for when the sheet is horizontal so it won't fall back to the loading angle while raising it up or rolling it around. The wire holders have stops on them as they move from the up position (higher than the bar) for loading, to even with the bar for putting up walls, to folded all the way under to the bar for getting sheets right up to the next one on ceilings and in corners. This is a very nice lift and I wouldn't even think of buying the cheaper lifts as they just aren't made as well as this one. This is the case of a $100 (or even less if on sale) is WELL worth it! A:  The arms that holds the panels tilts from vertical to flat and rotates. It does not tilt side to side, although there is some play in the mechanism.

A:  All panel hoists tilt towards the floor and back towards the ceiling. To allow for wall or ceiling installation. The main reason I purchased the pro-series hoist is the weight capacity and the heavy duty frame.
